A higher frequency of excitement please

Dunstan standing on a rock in the Mont Blanc region

Starting this blog has highlighted something for me: I don’t do anything interesting on a day-to-day basis.

In the last year I’ve been to the Canary Islands for a week, Colorado for a month, Paris for a fortnight, and visited Italy twice.

I’ve spent four days hiking in the Lake District in December snow, and four more walking in the French/Italian alps in glorious sunshine.

I’ve been canoeing, kayaking, go-karting, running, mountain biking and horse riding. I’ve played rugby, tennis and football.

But ask me to write about what happens here on an average day, and I’d be stumped.

What do I do? Who do I meet? Where does all my time go?

It’s a very dull mystery…

Ahhhh. Dunstan. Welcome to the world of bloggers and journallers.

Hint: Those of us with extraodinarily boring lives tend to write about what we think, rather than what we do. Our readers then mistakenly see us as deep and intellectual, when in fact we're just terribly dull.

Sabrina, you'll probably be shot by the bloggers webring for revealing that hidden truth.

I think I'm going to have to start making things up... writing what I think just doesn't work for me.

    Current thoughts:

    [1] "Mmmm, hungry..."

[2] "Can white people grow afros? Can I grow one? Is it just big hair, or does it do something special, like go frizzy?"

[3] "How do you spell the plural of 'penis'?"

[4] "Why did I wonder that?"

[5] "Why don't they make dog biscuits taste nicer, then we could all enjoy them?"

    You see my problem?

I'm informed by Sabrina that it's:

"Penises, or, amusingly penes. Rhymes with weenies."

Dunstan, those be seriously knobbly knees but seeing as it's the period of goodwill and peace and all that I'll downgrade them to dimples.

Well, dimples, they're... I guess people like babies and they have dimples... but still... not really the same thing... dimples... damn.

Quite right dimples are associated with babies, at your age to have your knees associated with said dimples and babies is something to be proud of .... hehehehe
