If you’ve ever written me an email you’ll know that I’m not very good at keeping up to date with my correspondence. My stock defense is that I receive more than my fair share of emails and it usually takes me a while to answer them all, but in truth I’m just rather lazy.
Each day I’d say I get about: six I-love-you-here’s-a-cutsie-picture-of-my-friend’s-dogs’ from The Girlfriend; one or two why-haven’t-you-written-are-you-dead’s from friends and family; a couple of WOW-MY-C.O.C.K-IS-BIGGER-WITH-V.I.4.G.R.A bits of spam; and then a sizeable chunk of comments, alerts, errors, and feedback from the blog.
Recent feedback has fallen into one of three categories:
What great photos, it’s really lovely to see San Francisco through another person’s eyes. Keep up the good work!
Hey Dunstan, I love your pictures, but don’t forget to write a web article now and then, eh? ;o)
I am very annoyed!! I demand an immediate end to all photography on your site and the re-emergence of many, many, very helpful web articles, right now!!! And hurry up for god’s sake, I have a contract to complete and I want you to explain how you did X so I can steal it and tell the client I made it!!! RAAAAAAAAA!!!!
To the writers of emails which fall into the first two categories I’d like to say thank you, your kind words are much appreciated.
To the writers of emails which fall into that third category, I’d like to offer up this visual image in place of a written response. I hope the irony of that is not lost on your tiny brains.
To everyone else, I’d like to say I’ll soon be returning to a balanced mixture of photography, web articles, and babbling nonsense; just stay calm and relaxed while you wait for that to happen. In the meantime here are some pictures of the cutsie dogs that The Girlfriend sends me:
Look! He’s wearing a hat! And he’s a dog! How about that…
